My name is Maggie, I am a Graphic Designer based in Massachusetts (south of Boston). I have over 10+ years of experience in design-related fields including: print & web design, print production, catalog & layout design, product development and packaging design.
My creative journey began in college when I studied Clothing and Textiles with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising. After working in the retail industry unfulfilled, I knew I wanted to do something more creative and gratifying. I left the traditional retail world and started my design path working for a startup media company as an E-Commerce Specialist. I took my conventional retail merchandising experience and applied it through an online presence. My responsibilities were product merchandising, studio photography, Photoshop production work and maintaining online stores.
All the while, I was designing print stationery for friends and family as my creative outlet. To my surprise, designing became a passion which eventually led me to start something on my own. In 2010, I took a leap and launched MAGG & LOUIE, a freelance design business which was operated during many late nights and weekends.
A year later, M&L had become a hustling side gig while working at a women’s clothing catalog company as a Production Artist (where my career began in catalog design). In 2014, I started a position as a Graphic Designer at a home décor wholesale company, expanding my knowledge in product design & development and packaging design. Three years later, my role evolved into a Senior Designer position which included spearheading the company’s seasonal yearly catalogs from concept to completion, and managing the design team for 6 years.
In 2021, I continued to expand my skills in Packaging Design and landed a position as a Designer for a major retail company.
Who is Louie? He is my late father who worked in advertising and print industries for over 30 years. I genuinely believe that he, along with my grandfather, his father (who was also in the print business) are spiritually guiding me through this creative journey I have embarked on.
